Amman, 18 January 2025: Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) has announced the opening of registration for this year’s new edition of the "Zain Al-Mubadara" programme. This flagship initiative aims to support Jordanian innovators and entrepreneurs and bolster the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem by empowering the next generation of business leaders. The programme provides various forms of support to transform ideas into investment-ready projects, fostering growth and contributing to the national economy by creating innovative, sustainable enterprises.
Through its social media platforms (ZINC Jordan), the platform has called on entrepreneurs, whether owners of early-stage startups or individuals with creative ideas, to register and participate in the programme throughout the year. Eligible participants and startups will be selected every four months. Interested individuals can register via ZINC’s website (zinc.jo) to review the programme’s details and application requirements.
The programme features two main tracks:
1. Startups Track: Targeting registered startups in Jordan, including those operating outside the country, provided they are less than three years old, revenue-generating, tech-enabled, and have at least one founder working full-time on the venture.
2. Ideas Track: Designed for individuals aged 18 or older with tech-enabled entrepreneurial ideas, unregistered at the time of application. At least one team member must commit full-time to developing the idea.
ZINC will provide up to 10,000 Jordanian dinars in grants and financial support to each selected startup, and 15,000 dinars to each chosen entrepreneurial idea. This funding will enable participants to develop business models and validate market applicability. Additionally, ZINC offers a year-long package of logistical support, including accounting, legal, technical consultation, branding, media promotion, social media marketing, and market access services.
Participants will go through multiple stages, beginning with an intensive training camp led by expert trainers, followed by mentoring sessions to develop skills and knowledge. This prepares them to attract investors, scale their startups, and ensure business sustainability.
By launching "Zain Al-Mubadara" annually, ZINC reaffirms its commitment to supporting Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Over the years, the programme has received thousands of ideas, transforming hundreds into viable companies. By the end of 2024, ZINC had supported 246 Jordanian startups across various sectors, creating new jobs, driving economic growth, and leaving a significant impact on the local market.
