The United Financial Investments Company signed a Custodian Service Agreement with Jordan Kuwait Bank on Thursday, 16 January 2025. Under the agreement, the company will act as the custodian for the bank’s investment portfolio.
It is noteworthy that the company obtained its custodian license from the Securities Commission on 12 January 2022, reflecting its commitment to enhancing its services locally and regionally. This aligns with its vision to support investment avenues in the Kingdom, bolster the Jordanian financial market, and attract Arab and foreign investors to Jordanian stocks, contributing to the national economy's growth.
The agreement also reinforces adherence to governance regulations and sound management practices in Jordan, positioning the country as a secure investment destination that adheres to global standards in managing investments, securities, and bonds.
Under the license, the company can provide a range of services to investors, including maintaining custody of securities, keeping accurate client records, receiving payments for sold securities from brokers, and paying for purchased securities on behalf of its clients.
As a custodian, the company will send periodic reports to clients about their portfolios and cash accounts, inform them of actions taken by issuers concerning their securities' dividends, profits, and rights, and collect earnings and proceeds on their behalf. It will also offer other services in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and stock market guidelines.
