Amman—Hundreds of residents attempted to enter villages in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning, despite Israeli forces remaining in the area after the deadline for their withdrawal under the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah had passed, according to AFP.

Reporters in various parts of southern Lebanon witnessed convoys of hundreds of cars and vehicles, some carrying passengers displaying victory signs and Hezbollah flags.

Earlier, the state-run National News Agency reported that Israeli forces fired at individuals attempting to enter the village of Kfarkela, injuring five people.
