Amman Ahliyya University, represented by its President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, participated in the 21st annual meeting of the Arab Universities Union, hosted by Sultan Qaboos University. The event brought together academics and scholars from various Arab universities to exchange ideas and strengthen academic and research cooperation.

In his opening speech, Prof. Amer bin Saif Al-Hinai, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Sultan Qaboos University, emphasized the meeting’s role as a strategic platform for advancing higher education and research in the region. He highlighted that ongoing collaboration among Arab universities is essential to addressing current challenges and enhancing academic and scientific efforts.

Prof. Sari Hamdan expressed his gratitude to the Arab Universities Union for accrediting Amman Ahliyya University as the Cybersecurity Centre for Arab Universities, considering it a significant step in enhancing the university’s academic role.

Participants underscored the importance of such gatherings in unifying efforts and exchanging ideas to serve higher education and research in the Arab world. They stressed the need for continued meetings to further academic cooperation among universities.

At the close of the meeting, Prof. Sari Hamdan presented an honorary shield to His Highness Dr. Fahd bin Al-Jalandi Al Said, President of Sultan Qaboos University, in recognition of his contributions to strengthening academic collaboration among Arab universities.
