The electronic application process for admission to Jordan’s public universities for Tawjihi supplementary session students begins Tuesday and runs until midnight Saturday. Applications for intermediate diploma programs start Wednesday morning and close at midnight Sunday, according to the Unified Admission Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The unit announced that all website data updates have been completed for the supplementary session admission process, including available majors. A total of 600 programs are being offered at the bachelor's and intermediate diploma levels, in addition to direct-admission programs. However, 182 majors have been suspended due to exceeding capacity and will not be available for second-semester enrollment.
According to Mohannad Al-Khatib, media advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and director of the admission unit, 439 bachelor's programs are available across nine public universities, along with the World Islamic Sciences and Education University.
For intermediate diploma programs, 135 majors are available at community colleges affiliated with Al-Balqa Applied University, Tafila Technical University, the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, the Royal Jordanian Geographic Centre, and the Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection. Additionally, 26 direct-admission programs are offered at the German-Jordanian University, the arts faculties of the University of Jordan and Yarmouk University, and the aerospace engineering program at the University of Jordan.
The total number of students to be admitted for bachelor's programs is 16,688, while 2,899 students will be accepted into regular (competitive) diploma programs at community colleges within public universities and other government colleges. An additional 490 students will be admitted into direct-admission programs, including those at the German-Jordanian University, the University of Jordan’s aerospace engineering and arts programs, and Yarmouk University’s arts programs.
The admission unit urged all successful supplementary session students to visit the website via the provided link to explore available data, including competitive admission thresholds from the first semester, frequently asked questions, guidance materials, and instructional videos on application submission and payment through eFAWATEERcom.
