Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians in Gaza endured a brutal night of strong winds, heavy rain, and freezing cold, with many seeing their tents blown away by the storm.

Families struggled to shield their children from the cold and rain seeping into their makeshift shelters. Those living atop the rubble of their destroyed homes faced even graver dangers.

According to Palestinian sources, a man was killed and several others injured when a building wall collapsed on a family in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood.

Gaza’s Civil Defence described the situation as catastrophic, especially in displacement camps like Mawasi Al-Qarara in the south, where many tents collapsed, leaving people trapped and calling for rescue.

Officials warned that aid remains scarce, with many tents, caravans, and temporary homes receiving no assistance. Meanwhile, Israel continues to block fuel, rescue equipment, and evacuation tools from entering the strip.
