Saudi authorities have officially prohibited bringing young children to Hajj for the 1446 AH / 2025 pilgrimage season. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the decision to ensure children’s safety and prevent risks posed by the extreme crowding during Hajj.

Additionally, the ministry has prioritised first-time pilgrims this year to reduce congestion and give more people the opportunity to perform the pilgrimage.

Hajj Registration Opens for Saudis and Residents

The ministry has opened registration for Saudi citizens and residents through the "Nusuk" app and the electronic Hajj portal. In a post on its official X (Twitter) account, the ministry urged those wishing to perform Hajj to register, their health information, add companions, and submit requests for Mahram (guardian) exemptions when needed. Pilgrims will be notified once Hajj packages become available.

Hajj Payment Plans for Domestic Pilgrims

Saudi authorities have introduced an installment plan for domestic pilgrims, allowing them to pay in three stages:

20% deposit due within 72 hours of booking.

40% second payment due by 20 Ramadan.

40% final payment due by 20 Shawwal.

Each installment generates a separate invoice, and reservations remain unconfirmed until full payment is made.
