Hamas reaffirmed on Saturday that it remains prepared to participate in the second phase of ceasefire negotiations with Israel over Gaza.

"We are still ready to enter negotiations, but the occupation is stalling," said Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim.

He stressed that the group does not seek a return to war, stating, "Going back to war is certainly not our wish nor our decision."

Naim warned that Israel’s failure to uphold the ceasefire agreement puts it at risk of collapse. "The delays and lack of commitment in implementing the first phase are undoubtedly endangering the agreement, which could ultimately stop or collapse," he added.
