Amman Ahliyya University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Samsung Electronics Levant on Monday, February 10, 2025, to enhance education and youth innovation. The agreement aims to connect students and staff with Samsung's latest technologies and strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two parties.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Maher Hourani, Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, and Jung Ho Kang, General Manager of Samsung Electronics Levant. The signing ceremony was attended by Acting University President Dr. Ahmad Hamdan and representatives from both sides.
Under the agreement, Samsung will grant students and staff access to its Enhanced Partnership Program (EPP), offering exclusive discounts on its products. In return, the university will provide Samsung employees and their first-degree relatives with discounts on undergraduate and master's programs, as well as special rates for using university facilities such as the Arena Sports Complex.
Additionally, Samsung will offer internship opportunities to university students, equipping them with hands-on experience in a professional environment. Both parties will also collaborate on hosting conferences, seminars, and technical workshops to promote knowledge exchange and research. The partnership extends to supporting scientific projects with cutting-edge technology and participating in academic and professional events like open days and job fairs.
Dr. Maher Hourani emphasized that the MoU aligns with the university's strategy to achieve academic excellence and equip students with modern tools for success in regional and international job markets.
Jung Ho Kang, General Manager of Samsung Electronics Levant, stated, “This agreement reflects our commitment to investing in education, which we see as an investment in the future. By integrating technology into learning, we aim to empower communities and develop future leaders in the digital era.”
