Faisaly Club Vice President Ahmed Wreikat announced his resignation via his personal Facebook page, citing a period of dedicated work within the club and continuous efforts to address its financial and administrative challenges.

In his resignation statement, Wreikat expressed gratitude to everyone who worked with and supported him, emphasizing that he spared no effort, time, or money in serving the club. However, he faced significant difficulties, particularly attempts to undermine his positions and question his motives, which ultimately led him to make this difficult decision—one he had never considered before.

Wreikat highlighted his extensive efforts to mend internal divisions and foster unity among different factions within the club. He was among the first to welcome initiatives aimed at consolidating Faisaly’s ranks, even stating his willingness to step aside from management if it meant ensuring stability. However, certain parties obstructed these efforts, going so far as to distort his image and engage in character assassination—an unfortunate reality that, in his view, does not reflect true sportsmanship.

He stressed that his resignation was driven by his concern for the club, hoping it would spark a revival among its supporters. He urged fans to unite and set aside differences to preserve Faisaly’s status, describing the club as a “homeland for every devoted fan.”

In closing, Wreikat reaffirmed his unwavering support for Faisaly, regardless of whether the current administration remains in place or a temporary committee is formed. He expressed gratitude to both his supporters and critics during his tenure, emphasizing that as long as Faisaly has a loyal fan base standing behind it, it will never fall.

Below is Wreikat’s full statement:
