Israeli Army Radio reported that Israel had killed a key figure in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in southern Lebanon, without naming the individual.
Earlier, Israeli sources announced the assassination of a senior Hezbollah official by targeting his car in the Tyre region of southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Civil Defense confirmed that an Israeli drone strike killed one person in the town of Rashkenaniyeh.
Hezbollah has not officially confirmed or denied Israel’s claim of assassinating one of its leaders.
Since November 27, a fragile ceasefire has been in place, ending mutual shelling between Israel and Hezbollah that began on October 8, 2023. The conflict later escalated into a full-scale Israeli war on Lebanon on September 23, killing over 4,000 people and injuring 16,000.
Under the pretext of countering “threats from Hezbollah,” Israel has committed dozens of ceasefire violations, resulting in dozens of casualties on the Lebanese side.
