The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has revealed the latest figures on Jordanians activating their digital ID through the government’s Sanad app.

In response to inquiries from Al-Mamlaka, the ministry stated that as of today, 1,569,681 Jordanians have activated their digital ID via Sanad.

The government launched the app in February 2020 as part of the fifth executive package of its economic program to support e-services and improve the business environment. Since then, multiple updates have been introduced to address initial issues.

The app allows users to log in with a single username and password instead of managing multiple credentials for government transactions. Digital ID activation requires visiting a Sanad service station or using online banking apps that offer activation without the need for a physical visit.

The government aims to reach 3.5 million activated digital IDs and fully automate public services by 2025, in line with its public sector modernization plan.
