A delegation from Hamas arrived in Cairo on Friday to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and push negotiations into its second phase, according to a statement from Egypt’s State Information Service.

The statement noted that Egypt is conducting intensive talks with all parties to expedite the transition to the second phase of the truce. It also highlighted Egypt’s ongoing high-level meetings with Hamas leaders and its communications with both the U.S. and Qatar to finalize the ceasefire agreement and move forward with its next stage.
