Amman –
The Non-Aligned Movement has decided that its Ministerial Committee on Palestine will hold an emergency meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, following the Arab Summit and the meeting of Islamic state ministers.
During an emergency meeting of the movement’s general office in New York, Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, provided a briefing on the outcomes of the Arab Summit. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a ceasefire in Gaza, stopping aggression in the occupied West Bank, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and preventing forced displacement of Palestinians.
Mansour also stressed the need to implement the ceasefire agreement, support the Egyptian-Palestinian-Arab reconstruction plan, and open a political horizon to end the illegal occupation and realize the two-state solution on the ground.
He urged all parties to actively participate in the international conference for implementing the two-state solution, set to take place in June at the United Nations under joint Saudi-French leadership.
Mansour expressed appreciation for the Non-Aligned Movement’s support and its readiness to hold an emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee’s ministers.
