Nashama Squad Announced for World Cup Qualifiers Against Palestine, South Korea

Amman – The coaching staff of the Jordan national team, led by head coach Jamal Salami, has announced a 26-player squad for the crucial third-round matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Palestine and South Korea.

Squad List:

Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Mohammed Al-Amuasi, Yazan Al-Arab, Abdullah Nasib, Mohammed Abu Al-Nadi, Hossam Abu Dahab, Ihsan Haddad, Yousef Abu Al-Jazar, Adham Al-Quraishi, Amer Jamous, Khaled Zakaria, Mohammed Abu Hashish, Ibrahim Sa’adeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Waseem Reyalat, Mohammed Abu Zreik, Mahmoud Mardi, Ahmad Assaf, Muhannad Samreen, Muhannad Abu Taha, Mousa Al-Tamari, Ali Alwan, Mohammed Al-Nasser, Ibrahim Sabra, and Yazan Al-Naimat.

The Nashama will begin their technical and physical training sessions on Sunday, March 9, in Amman in preparation for the two key matches.

Jordan vs. Palestine: Thursday, March 20, at 9:15 PM, Amman International Stadium.

South Korea vs. Jordan: Tuesday, March 25, at 2:00 PM (Jordan time), Suwon World Cup Stadium.


Friendly Match Against North Korea

As part of the preparations, Jordan will play a closed-door friendly match against North Korea on Friday, March 14, at 9:15 PM at Amman International Stadium. The match will not be broadcast and will be held without spectators.

Jordan’s Standings in Group B

Jordan is currently third in Group B with 9 points, trailing:

1. South Korea – 14 points


2. Iraq – 11 points


3. Jordan – 9 points


4. Oman – 6 points


5. Kuwait – 4 points


6. Palestine – 3 points



Qualification Format

The third round of AFC qualifiers features three groups of six teams each. The top two teams from each group qualify directly for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The third- and fourth-placed teams will move to the fourth round for another chance to qualify.

The Jordan Football Association is committed to providing the best preparation through training camps and friendly matches, aiming to secure a historic qualification for the World Cup.
