The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced on Monday its approval of Egypt’s proposal regarding the Community Support Committee and the commencement of its operations in Gaza.

Hamas stated that it has shown flexibility in dealing with mediator efforts, including those of U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy, and is awaiting the outcome of upcoming negotiations to ensure Israel’s commitment to the agreement and the transition to the second phase.

The movement highlighted that negotiations with Egyptian and Qatari mediators, as well as Trump’s envoy, have focused on ending the war, withdrawal, and reconstruction.

Hamas also asserted that Israel’s attempts to resume fighting and cut electricity to Gaza have failed, warning that such measures pose a threat to Israeli captives and that their release can only be achieved through negotiations.
