Orange Jordan, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, has launched the incubation phase for 100 entrepreneurial ideas that qualified from the 2024 Entrepreneurship Hackathon. This initiative is part of Jordan’s national efforts to support startups by providing training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and logistical support through Orange’s digital business incubators.
The selected entrepreneurs were welcomed at an orientation event held at the Innovation Hub in Orange Digital Village, where they were introduced to available support in key sectors such as agri-tech, education, renewable energy, and tourism. Representatives from the Ministry and Orange Jordan attended the event, emphasizing the crucial role of incubation in accelerating startup growth and expanding business opportunities.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem, enabling young innovators to transform their ideas into successful businesses that contribute to sustainable economic growth. Orange Jordan highlighted its dedication to equipping entrepreneurs with essential skills and guidance, reinforcing its role in empowering a new generation of innovators across the country.
Jordan’s startup ecosystem has witnessed significant growth, with early-stage entrepreneurial activity rising from 9.1% in 2020 to 15.7% in 2024, according to ministry statistics. This reflects a growing interest in entrepreneurship and underscores the importance of such initiatives in supporting emerging businesses.
