Amman, April 5, 2025 — As part of its commitment to supporting the sports sector in the Kingdom and nurturing young Jordanian athletic talent, Zain Jordan sponsored the “Battleground” basketball tournament organized by the Sam Daghlas Academy (SD13).

The tournament featured 115 male and female players aged 15–18, along with 45 players in the 18+ youth category. The competitions took place over several days in an enthusiastic atmosphere, where participants showcased their skills.

Zain’s sponsorship of the tournament reflects its ongoing dedication to supporting the sports sector in Jordan and its focus on providing young people with opportunities to develop their athletic skills and compete at high levels. This falls within the company’s social responsibility strategy, which emphasizes empowering youth across various fields.

Zain continues to support Jordanian sports, particularly basketball, as the exclusive telecom sponsor of the Jordan Basketball Federation. Recently, Zain also launched its Ramadan 3x3 basketball tournament for young players of both genders, with 40 participating teams. These included 12 teams of girls under 16, 16 teams of boys under 16, and 12 teams of boys under 14, held in cooperation with the Amman United Club and as part of Zain’s ongoing partnership with the Jordan Basketball Federation.
