As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the sports and tourism sectors and reinforcing Jordan’s global standing in these fields, Zain Jordan has announced its strategic sponsorship of the World Baja Jordan Rally. The event, held under the patronage of HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, will kick off in the city of Aqaba and the Wadi Rum area on Thursday and will continue through Saturday.
This sponsorship comes within the framework of Zain’s long-standing partnership with Jordan Motorsport and underscores the company’s dedication to being involved in major national events, especially those that highlight Jordan’s stunning natural and tourist attractions. The event also aims to showcase the talents of Jordanian youth in motorsports, empowering them to reach global competitions and raise Jordan’s profile in regional and international sporting arenas.
The rally has attracted broad participation from both Jordanian and international drivers. Baja Jordan includes the second round of the FIA World and Middle East Cross-Country Bajas Cup, the third round of the FIM Bajas World Cup for motorcycles and quads, the second round of the FIM Asia Cup for motorcycles and quads (hosted in Jordan for the first time), and the national Baja Jordan Rally. Additionally, the “Valley of the Moon Navigation Rally” will be held for the second time as part of the event.
Zain continues to support the Jordanian sports scene through organizing tournaments and sponsoring major sporting events. This includes its exclusive telecommunications sponsorship of the Jordan Basketball Federation, golden sponsorship of the Jordan Olympic Committee, strategic partnership with Jordan Motorsport, support for the Jordan Riders Motorcycle Rally and the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally, as well as being the exclusive telecom partner for the Jordan International Rally. Zain also partners with Red Bull events and sponsors prominent sports activities such as the "Run Amman Promenade" Ultramarathon and the Women's Marathon. Moreover, the company supports youth football and basketball leagues in schools and continues its 15-year journey of supporting Jordanian Paralympic athletes.
