Israeli Defence Minister Yisrael Katz announced Saturday that the Israeli army will expand its offensive "in the majority" of the Gaza Strip.

In a statement addressing Gaza residents, Katz said, "Soon, [the army’s] operations will intensify and expand to include other areas across most of Gaza. You must evacuate combat zones."

The death toll from the Israeli assault on Gaza has reached 50,933, with 116,045 injured since October 7, 2023, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
