WOn Saturday, 12 April 2025, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research Prof. Azmi Mahafzah sponsored the award ceremony for the 2024 Engineers Association Graduation Projects Competition, including projects executed in the industrial sector and in traffic engineering. The event was organised by the Jordan Engineers Association.
Attendees included Deputy President of the Association Eng. Fawzi Massad; representative of the Mayor of Amman and Executive Director of Transport and Infrastructure Projects Eng. Riyad Al-Kharabsheh; representative of the Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Industry Eng. Fadel Al-Labadi; Chair of the Awards Committee Dr. Mohammad Ghaith; and committee members.
Among the award winners were students from Amman Ahliyya University’s Faculty of Engineering—specifically from the Biomedical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments—who earned top ranks in the competition. The university's Dean of Engineering, Prof. Bashar Al-Tarawneh, attended the event.
Biomedical Engineering students Mohammad Majid, Bara’a Hasanieh, and Fayhaa Al-Zoubi, under the supervision of Prof. Jamal Al-Nabulsi, were awarded second place in the Electrical Engineering Division, which includes electrical, biomedical, communications, computer, and mechatronics engineering fields.
Civil Engineering students Ibrahim Bani Taraf and Waleed Al-Salayhat, supervised by Dr. Taqwa Al-Hadidi, also received second place in the Civil Engineering Division for their project in the traffic engineering category.
