The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is “likely the worst” since the war on the Strip began, as Israel continues to block the entry of aid.

In a statement, OCHA said, “The humanitarian situation is now likely the worst in the 18 months since the war began,” noting that it has been six weeks since any supplies were allowed through Gaza’s crossings—marking the longest halt in aid deliveries so far.
