Amman Ahliyya University, represented by its president Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Manufacturing Company (Mobedco), represented by General Manager Eng. Mohammad Owais. The signing was attended by Professor Dr. Ghaleb Oraikat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Wolhan Al-Shaer, Director of the Pharmaceutical Studies Centre, along with Dr. Zeina Alami and Dr. Mohammad Malkawi.

Mobedco is considered a leading company in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, with several branches in neighbouring countries and exports to over 65 countries worldwide.

The MoU aims to enhance research collaboration and open practical training opportunities for university students majoring in pharmaceutical biotechnology at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences. This comes in light of the company’s pioneering project to establish the region’s first facility for the production of veterinary vaccines. The agreement also seeks to activate cooperation in joint research and scientific fields, serving the goals of both parties in advancing applied knowledge and linking academic research with industry.

Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan praised the company’s role in supporting scientific research and offering practical training, affirming the university’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with the industrial sector to prepare qualified professionals who meet labour market demands.

For his part, Eng. Mohammad Owais expressed pride in cooperating with Amman Ahliyya University, describing the partnership as an important step toward advancing scientific research in Jordan and the region, and enabling the company to benefit from the academic and research expertise available at the university.
