Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar warns Sunday that Israel will take “unilateral measures” in response to any recognition of a Palestinian state, following recent remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron suggesting the possibility.
Speaking at a press conference with German counterpart Johann Wadephul in Jerusalem, Sa’ar says: “Any attempt at unilateral recognition... will only harm future prospects for a bilateral process and will prompt us to take unilateral measures in response.”
