Prices of all goods, especially essentials, soar in Gaza as Israeli authorities reimpose full blockade and halt humanitarian aid, causing severe shortages and unprecedented price hikes.

Economic researcher Rami Al-Zayigh says markets face chaos, black market activity, and lack of oversight due to Israeli attacks on field teams working in markets. He adds that some traders monopolise goods and prices, prioritising profit over the dire living conditions of Palestinians amid a war now entering its 19th month.
