Amman Ahliyya University’s Cybersecurity Centre, in cooperation with the Cybersecurity Centre of the Association of Arab Universities and in partnership with several local and international academic and industrial institutions, organised a specialised workshop titled "Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Machine Learning: Strategic Synergies" from 14–15 May 2025 at the Mövenpick Hotel in Amman.
The event aligned with the university’s strategic vision to promote modern technologies and keep pace with rapid transformations in the digital labour market. The workshop focused on exploring the integration of blockchain, cybersecurity, and machine learning, and their roles in addressing global digital challenges.
Held under the patronage of University President Prof. Sari Hamdan, the workshop attracted broad participation from local and international university representatives, as well as experts from leading tech and industrial institutions.
The event opened with a welcome speech by Prof. Mohammad Qatawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, who stressed the importance of such gatherings in fostering experience-sharing and collaboration between academia and industry.
The workshop was organised and led by Prof. Mohammad Qatawneh, Dr. Ahmad Al-Shamayleh, and Dr. Malek Al-Issa. Sessions were moderated by Prof. Abdulrahman Hussein and Dr. Al-Shamayleh and featured lectures and discussions by prominent academics and professionals, including Prof. Ahmad Al-Debei, Prof. Mohammad Qatawneh, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hayassat, Dr. Malek Al-Issa, Eng. Nidaa Al-Shafie, Eng. Adam Al-Qar’an, and Mr. Akram Abu Al-Filat.
At the conclusion of the workshop, supporting institutions and outstanding participants were honoured with commemorative shields in recognition of their valuable contributions to the success of this scientific event.
