Saudi Cultural Attaché football tournament concludes at Amman Ahliyya

The Saudi Cultural Attaché Futsal Tournament concluded on Tuesday, 20 May 2025. Organised by the Saudi Cultural Attaché in cooperation with the Department of Student Activities and Clubs at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Amman Ahliyya University, the tournament was held on the university’s futsal fields.

More than 156 Saudi students from 13 different university teams across Jordan took part, representing: Irbid National University, Middle East University (1), Middle East University (2), Al-Balqa Applied University, Applied Science University, Aviation Academy, Amman Arab University, Philadelphia University (1), Philadelphia University (2), Al-Isra University (1), Al-Isra University (2), Jerash University, and Amman Ahliyya University.

Middle East University (2) claimed the championship title after defeating Jerash University in the final with a score of 6–0.

At the closing ceremony, the tournament’s patron, Acting Head of the Saudi Embassy Mr Mohammed bin Hassan Mones, and Amman Ahliyya University Vice President Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, awarded the winning teams. The event was attended by Acting Head of the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Jordan Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khuzaym Al-Shammari, Jerash University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalaileh, Middle East University Vice President Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Louzi, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour, Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Atiyat, and Assistant Dean Dr. Nour Al-Dabbas, along with several faculty and administrative members from participating universities.

The tournament aimed to promote positive engagement and strengthen cultural and social ties among students of various nationalities studying in Jordanian universities.
