Salami Announces Nashama Squad for Dammam Camp, Oman and Iraq Clashes

The technical staff of Jordan’s national football team, led by coach Jamal Salami, has announced a 30-player squad in preparation for the upcoming fixtures against Oman and Iraq in the third and final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The squad includes: Yazid Abu Layla, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Nour Bani Atieh, Mohammad Al-Amwasi, Abdullah Nasib, Youssef Abu Al-Jazar, Yazan Al-Arab, Hadi Al-Hourani, Salim Obeid, Hossam Abu Al-Dhahab, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Ihsan Haddad, Adham Al-Quraishi, Ahmad Assaf, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Nour Al-Rawabdeh, Rajaei Ayed, Amer Jamous, Mohammad Al-Dawood, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Muhannad Abu Taha, Ali Alwan, Mahmoud Mardi, Muhannad Samreen, Mohammad Abu Zureiq, Ali Al-Azayzeh, Musa Al-Taamari, Ibrahim Sabra, and Yazan Al-Nuaimat.

The Nashama recently concluded their local training camp held in Amman from 17–22 May, and will depart tomorrow evening, Saturday, for a training camp in Dammam. The camp will include a friendly training match against Saudi Arabia on Friday, 30 May, as preparation for the upcoming qualifiers.

Jordan will face Oman at 7:00 PM (Jordan time) on Thursday, 5 June, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. They will then meet Iraq at 9:15 PM on Tuesday, 10 June, at Amman International Stadium.

Additionally, the draw for the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 will take place in Doha on Sunday evening, 25 May. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Qatar this December.

Jordan currently sits second in Group B of the decisive qualification round with 13 points, trailing leaders South Korea (16), followed by Iraq (12), Oman (10), Palestine (6), and Kuwait (5).

According to the qualification system, teams are divided into three groups of six. The top two teams from each group qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup, while third and fourth-placed teams move on to the fourth round of qualifiers.
