Amman — Israeli army announced early Sunday that it carried out air strikes against military targets in Tehran, amid loud explosions heard across the Iranian capital.

Tasnim News Agency reported that an Israeli strike hit the headquarters of Iran’s Defense Ministry in Tehran, causing damage to one of its buildings. The agency stated: “In an evening attack on Tehran launched by the Israeli Air Force... the Defense Ministry headquarters was targeted. One of the ministry’s buildings sustained minor damage.” There has been no official comment yet from the Iranian Defense Ministry.
