In a notable achievement reflecting academic and technical excellence, the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Ahliyya University secured both first and second place in the Capture The Flag (CTF) competition held on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, at the university campus.

The event brought together teams from six Jordanian universities: Amman Ahliyya, Philadelphia, Middle East, Jadara, Jerash, and the Islamic Sciences University. Each university was represented by two student teams specialising in cybersecurity, programming, and network analysis, competing in a series of technical challenges aimed at testing their ability to detect digital threats and analyse system vulnerabilities.

At the end of the competition, Professor Mohammad Qatawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, honoured the winning teams and all participants, praising their high-level performance and the strong spirit of competition that marked the event.

Qatawneh emphasised the importance of such contests in fostering innovation, enhancing hands-on skills in emerging fields like cybersecurity, and preparing highly qualified graduates ready for the demands of the digital job market.
