As part of its international outreach and efforts to strengthen academic ties with global institutions, a high-level delegation from the Middle East University (MEU) paid an official visit to the United Kingdom. The delegation was led by Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Salam Mahadin, University President.
During the visit, the delegation met with prominent British officials and representatives from respected academic and diplomatic institutions.
Meetings included discussions with the UK’s regional trade envoy from the House of Lords, a Labour Party representative in the House of Lords, and officials from the Jordanian embassy in London. Talks focused on enhancing collaboration between MEU and British higher education institutions.
The delegation highlighted the success of MEU’s joint and hosted British programmes, which reflect the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education that meets international standards. Discussions also covered future cooperation prospects with other UK universities, technical and vocational institutions, and organisations focused on women’s empowerment, education, and technology.
Dr. Nasereddin reaffirmed MEU’s top priority: expanding global partnerships that open new opportunities for students and strengthen the university’s academic and research competitiveness—supporting ongoing development across disciplines and keeping pace with global changes.
Prof. Mahadin stressed the importance of such meetings in advancing the university’s vision for regional and international excellence, and opening channels for knowledge and cultural exchange that build bridges between Jordan and the UK.
The visit reflects MEU’s continued efforts to engage with global initiatives and foster an educational environment in step with rapid advancements in education and technology.
