19 July 2025 – Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal has passed away after a long battle with illness, according to a statement from the Saudi Royal Court.

The statement read: “His Royal Highness Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has passed away. Funeral prayers will be held, God willing, on Sunday, 25/1/1447 AH, after Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh. May God grant him mercy, forgiveness, and a place in Paradise. We belong to God and to Him we return.”

Prince Al-Waleed had been in a coma since 2005 following a car accident.
