Big Sam brings hip-hop wave to ancient theatre
Jerash – On Monday night, young Jordanian singer Zeyne Sajdi, known artistically as Zeyne, lit up the Northern Theatre stage at Jerash Festival with a vibrant performance that fused rap, jazz, and traditional Arabic music — captivating a large crowd that included Princess Reem Ali and other royals.
Zeyne’s set showcased her unique sound, marked by smooth emotional delivery and an artful balance between modern musical styles and her Jordanian-Palestinian roots. In a brief speech on stage, she described her Jerash debut as a dream come true:

This marked Zeyne’s first appearance at Jerash, part of the festival’s new focus on spotlighting emerging Jordanian talent and introducing fresh voices shaping the country’s global music identity.
