Warning: Court Sentences Impostors Posing as Lawyers

In a legal precedent, court jails woman for 1 year, fines her JD10,000 for practicing law without being registered with Bar Association.

Three registered lawyers, including a female attorney, also sentenced to 8 months in prison and fined JD750–4,500 for enabling unlicensed practice.

The main defendant had pleaded in multiple court cases before being discovered by chance and referred to prosecution.

She was found to have practiced law 10 times in 2025 through repeated support from the three licensed lawyers.

Court convicted her under Article 177 of Criminal Procedure Law and Article 38/4 of the Bar Association Law. She received the harshest penalty: 1 year in prison and JD10,000 in fines.
