Arab Bank and King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) celebrated the conclusion of the 2024/2025 “Back to School” programme, which supports young cancer patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center by helping them continue their education in a health-conscious learning environment during treatment.
The closing event featured a creative art session where children decorated their own mugs using stickers and safe materials, guided by their volunteer teachers—Arab Bank employees—offering a fun, engaging experience that encouraged creativity and social interaction.
During the second semester, 13 bank employees volunteered to teach 19 students weekly in core subjects like Arabic, English, and maths. The bank also provided essential school supplies, laptops, and covered additional needs such as training workshops, field trips, and educational costs for students with special needs, easing the burden on their families.
Since its launch in 2017 in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the programme has benefited over 2,300 students across grade levels, offering psychological support, continuity in learning, and a sense of hope.
This initiative aligns with Arab Bank’s sustainability strategy and its “Together” CSR programme, which backs projects in education, health, poverty alleviation, environment, women’s empowerment, and orphan care through partnerships with local organisations.
