Death toll from Israel’s assault on Gaza since 7 October 2023 has risen to 60,430, with 148,722 injured, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry reported that since the resumption of the assault on 18 March, following the collapse of the ceasefire, 9,246 people have been killed and 36,681 injured.

In the past 24 hours alone, 98 Palestinians were killed — including 15 bodies retrieved from rubble — and 1,079 injured in ongoing Israeli attacks.

The ministry also said 39 Palestinians killed and 849 injured over the past 24 hours were among those seeking aid or food, bringing the total number of such deaths to 1,422 and injuries to 10,067.

Ambulance and civil defence crews continue to face major challenges reaching victims, with many still trapped under rubble or lying on roads.
