jordan pulse -

European Commission approves €500m macro-financial assistance to Jordan, reinforcing strategic EU-Jordan partnership.

Package follows similar €500m aid approved by European Parliament and EU Council in April, bringing total EU support to €1b for 2025–2027.

Support to be provided as long-term, low-interest loans disbursed in 3 instalments, each tied to agreed reform commitments outlined in forthcoming MoU.

Reforms to focus on economic and social priorities, business environment, governance, public finance, labour market, energy policy, and anti-corruption.

Commission says disbursement will run parallel with fourth programme and depend on positive IMF-backed performance reviews.
