Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said he does not care about Gaza's civilian population and is solely focused on achieving a complete victory over Hamas.

Speaking while defending a controversial allocation of 3 billion shekels in humanitarian aid to Gaza—which was criticised by the opposition—Smotrich said the entire world is watching Israel, with pressure from Europe, Hamas, and even the Israeli left to halt the war, but he remains determined to continue until total victory is secured.

He insisted full victory is not only possible but necessary, echoing Prime Minister Netanyahu’s declared goals of defeating Hamas and freeing Israeli captives.

Smotrich also called for economic strangulation of Gaza, saying: “We can’t defeat Hamas with tanks alone. We must cut aid to Hamas, its people, its trucks—we must suffocate it economically.”
