Jordan’s Eastern Military Zone foiled a drug smuggling attempt early Friday involving balloons loaded with narcotics and guided by primitive devices.

The balloons and their cargo were intercepted and brought down after being detected by Border Guard forces inside Jordanian territory.

The seized materials were referred to the relevant authorities.
