Casualties in Israeli Airstrikes on Central Gaza

August 9, 2025 — Seven Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on Saturday following Israeli attacks in central Gaza. The strikes targeted Palestinians north of the Nuseirat refugee camp and people waiting for aid south of Wadi Gaza.

Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital reported receiving five bodies and 33 wounded from the strike on a group north of Nuseirat. Additionally, two more Palestinians were killed and another injured when Israeli forces targeted crowds near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli artillery also shelled the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, while an Israeli drone strike hit near Al-Shaheed Mosque, east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
