The American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE): Selective Enforcement of Ethics
In July 2025, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) decided to terminate the membership of Dr. Kamel Ajlouni—a distinguished Jordanian physician—over allegations of "antisemitism" stemming from a lecture he delivered in Jordan in 2024, where he discussed texts from the Torah and Talmud as part of his defense. Ironically, the same association awarded him the Outstanding International Clinician Award in 2008! How did he go from being a "star" to an "outcast"?
The critical question is: Was his membership revoked for violating professional ethics? Or was it because his discourse displeased the Zionist lobby controlling American institutions?
1. "Antisemitism": A Political Weapon, Not an Ethical Accusation
The charge of "antisemitism" has been weaponized in the West, particularly by pro-Israel lobbies, as a political tool to silence criticism of Israeli policies—even when such criticism is directed at the occupation’s practices or its treatment of Palestinians. The double standard is glaring:
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (of Ukrainian origin) poses in front of graffiti reading "Death to Arabs", yet no one in the West accuses him of terrorism!
Netanyahu (of Polish origin) cites Talmudic texts to justify the massacres in Gaza, yet is praised as a "democratic leader"!
When Dr. Ajlouni references the same texts in an academic context, he is put on trial and stripped of his membership!
The Standard is Clear:
If you’re a Zionist, you can say anything—even call for genocide—without consequence.
If you’re Arab, criticizing Israel—or even quoting their sacred texts—is an ethical crime!
2. Arab Silence: Betrayal of Scholars or Fear of Repercussions?
The most shocking aspect is the deafening silence from Arab governments and media regarding AACE’s decision, despite Dr. Ajlouni’s contributions:
Founded the largest diabetes center in the Middle East (Jordan’s National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics).
Led groundbreaking research that transformed diabetes policies in the Arab world.
Represented Arab science in the most prestigious medical forums for decades.
Where is the solidarity with a scholar who elevated Jordan’s name? Where are the official statements? Where are the medical unions? Are we more afraid of Washington’s anger than we are committed to defending our scholars’ dignity?
3. Defending Dr. Ajlouni Isn’t "Sympathy"—It’s a Rejection of Submission
What’s striking is that the Arab medical community has not treated this case as an opportunity to debate:
Academic freedom in scholarly forums.
The politicization of global scientific institutions.
Defending Dr. Ajlouni is not about justifying hate speech—as AACE attempts to frame it—but about:
Rejecting the West’s double standards on free expression.
Rejecting the exploitation of science as a hostage in political conflicts.
Demanding that Arab institutions support their scholars instead of abandoning them under pressure.
Conclusion: "Antisemitism" is a Western Manufactured Concept—and Arabs Are Its Victims
This issue is not just about Dr. Ajlouni—it’s about the fate of any Arab scholar or thinker who might one day be targeted for daring to critique Israel. If we accept this today, we shouldn’t be surprised when more researchers are expelled for questioning the "Holocaust" or defending Palestine!
A Final Word to Arab Institutions:
Either stand with your scholars… or watch your own positions burn under any pretext tomorrow!
