Zain Jordan, through its innovation platform ZINC, and Crown Prince Foundation, via “Makers Space” program, are creating a joint platform to support innovation in Aqaba, aiming to empower new generation of young innovators and entrepreneurs in southern region.
Agreement signed by Zain CEO Fahd Al-Jassem and Crown Prince Foundation CEO Dr Tamam Manko, with space provided by Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA). Platform offers open workspace, advanced digital manufacturing lab with 3D printers, CNC machines, electronics, IoT technologies, plus training programs, workshops, and community activities for students, innovators, designers, and local entrepreneurs. It will connect users to national and regional networks. Pilot phase ongoing; official launch expected before end of 2025.
Al-Jassem highlighted Zain’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, startups, and digital skills development. Partnership with Crown Prince Foundation has benefited over 7,600 youth directly and 44,000 through digital platforms nationwide.
Manko emphasized equal opportunity access for youth and said platform aims to help design, test, and launch sustainable products. Aqaba chosen for strategic location, strong infrastructure, and vibrant investor base, supporting regional and international innovation networks.
