Amman – August 23, 2025 – In a remarkable national gathering, more than 2,000 community leaders, youth, and women’s representatives from Palestinian refugee camps met with Royal Court Chief Yousef Hassan Issawi at the Royal Hashemite Court. The attendees expressed their unwavering loyalty and pride in His Majesty King Abdullah II’s national, regional, and humanitarian positions, stressing that Jordan will always remain Palestine’s steadfast supporter.

The meeting began with Issawi conveying His Majesty’s greetings and appreciation to the refugee camp communities, commending their patriotism and loyalty. He emphasized that King Abdullah regards all Jordanians as “the heartbeat of the nation and the true wealth that sustains Jordan’s journey of progress and stability.”

Issawi reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains at the core of Jordan’s priorities, noting the King’s consistent efforts to defend it internationally and his strong stance in support of Gaza amid the ongoing aggression. He highlighted Jordan’s voice at the UN Security Council, repeated humanitarian aid drops, and the “Restoring Hope” initiative to treat the injured and provide prosthetics for Gaza’s victims.

On the right of return, Issawi underlined that it is a “sacred right that does not expire with time” and remains a cornerstone of justice. He also emphasized His Majesty’s commitment to comprehensive reform, modernization of state institutions, improving living conditions, and empowering youth. He praised Crown Prince Hussein’s recent decision to reinstate national service as a “pivotal step in preparing a responsible and patriotic generation.”

The refugee camp representatives delivered a written message of loyalty to the King, pledging unity and readiness to defend Jordan and its Hashemite leadership. They condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent expansionist remarks as “false fabrications reflecting the occupation’s aggressiveness.” They stressed that Jordan’s Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem is a red line, and that national unity remains Jordanians’ strongest weapon.

They also praised Queen Rania’s social and humanitarian efforts and expressed pride in Crown Prince Hussein as a role model for Jordanian youth. They reaffirmed their support for national service as a vital initiative to instill discipline, responsibility, and national belonging.

The gathering concluded with a unified pledge from the refugee camp communities: to remain loyal to Jordan, its Hashemite leadership, its Arab Army, and its security institutions – a united front in defense of Jordan’s sovereignty, stability, and principles.
