AMMAN – Civil Defence Department handled 1,659 incidents in the past 24 hours, it said Friday.

The cases included 1,469 medical emergencies with an average response time of 7 minutes 36 seconds, 111 rescue operations with a 7:33 response time, and 79 fire incidents with a 7:34 response time.

The department affirmed its full readiness to deal with all types of incidents and emergencies around the clock with high efficiency to safeguard citizens and property.
