Jordan takes part Monday in an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah to discuss Israel’s ongoing assault on Palestinians.

The meeting aims to coordinate positions and joint efforts against Israeli plans to cement full control over Gaza, alongside what the organisation described as genocide, starvation, displacement, blockade, and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

The OIC reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains its central issue.

The session opens at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
