Wizz Air flight from Budapest lands at Queen Alia International Airport Saturday carrying 184 tourists, marking airline’s return to Jordan with 2 weekly flights on route.

Tourism Minister Emad Hijazin: ‘Return of low-cost airlines such as Wizz Air to Jordan is strategic step to boost Kingdom’s competitiveness on global tourism map, enabling us to attract more European visitors at affordable prices, positively impacting various economic sectors.’

Hijazin adds resumption of Wizz Air flights reflects Jordan’s position as promising tourism destination in region and enhances travel options for passengers to and from Kingdom.

Tourism Board Director-General Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat: ‘We intensify promotional and marketing efforts to leverage this step to increase tourist numbers and distribute benefits across sites in Kingdom.’

Arabiyat says airline’s return falls within Wizz Air’s 2025/2026 winter plan, expanding Amman network from Nov 1 until Mar 31, 2026, with 3 weekly flights from London, 2 from Vienna, 2 from Milan, alongside Budapest service at 2 weekly flights.

Wizz Air launched first Jordan flights on Dec 15, 2021, with total 443,086 passengers carried since start of operations.
