Secretary-General of the Jordan Football Association, Samar Nassar, denied claims circulated on social media that she receives a salary of JD 29,000, stressing that such figures are completely false.

Nassar explained that the secretary-general’s salary at the association has not changed in 20 years, and that all her predecessors received the same amount.

She added: “I’ve taken heavy criticism because of these rumours and was subjected to unjustified personal attacks,” noting that selective quoting of her statements contributed to misleading public opinion.

She reaffirmed that the reported amounts do not exist, and that spreading such false information harms the sports sector and creates a distorted image far from reality.
