Jordan and several parts of the world to witness rare total lunar eclipse Sunday evening lasting 5 hours 8 minutes, one of longest in recent years, Jordanian Astronomical Society head Ammar Sakaji says.

Eclipse begins 7:27 pm with partial phase, enters totality 8:30 pm, peaks 9:11 pm as moon turns copper-red for 82 minutes, ends 9:52 pm with full exit from Earth’s shadow 10:56 pm.

Event visible across Jordan, especially clear during total phase 8:30–9:52 pm.
