The board of the Jordanian Universities Sports Union unanimously decided to relocate its headquarters from University of Jordan to Middle East University after the end of the hosting term at the mother university.

In a symbolic handover, University of Jordan president and head Nathir Obeidat passed the union’s flag to Middle East University president Salam Al-Muhadin, reflecting cooperation among higher education institutions.

Al-Muhadin praised UJ’s efforts in promoting university sports during its tenure, stressing MEU’s commitment to strengthening partnerships between public and private universities and enhancing students’ capacities in line with national leadership’s vision for youth empowerment.

The decision recognises MEU’s active role in student and sports activities, supported by modern facilities and a strong record in nurturing student skills academically and beyond.

The meeting was attended by MEU’s Hazem Al-Nsour, dean of student affairs, and media director Mohammad Al-Hnaiti, alongside UJ’s vice presidents and Safwan Al-Shayyab, dean of student affairs and secretary. The move marks MEU as the new home of the Jordanian Universities Sports Union.
