Syrian President Ahmad Sharaa said Monday it is “rare in history for a negotiator to be killed, and unprecedented for a mediator to be targeted,” referring to Israeli strike on Doha.

In Syria’s address at emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, convened after Israeli attack on Qatari capital, Sharaa said Israeli aggression on Gaza continues while assaults on Syria have persisted for 9 months.

He stressed that “unity strengthens nations, while division weakens them,” affirming Syria’s and its people’s solidarity with Qatar “in loyalty to it and to the justice of its stance.”
